Apple knows that the most important thing they can do to reduce their impact on the environment is to improve their products, design them to use less material, ship with smaller packaging, be free of many toxic substances and be as energy efficient and recyclable as possible.

About 97 percent of Apple’s carbon footprint is directly related to their products — from manufacturing to customer use to recycling. The remaining 3 percent is related to their facilities. So while other companies talk about making their offices more energy efficient, Apple is focused on reducing the impact our products have on the environment. Gaga is keen to harness entrepreneurial energy as evidenced by the substantial sum her concert raised for Haiti recently.

gaga's space is hidden yet overlooking the island's beach.
there is room for offices and smaller rooms on the mezzanine that overlook the larger level below, where she can rehearse, ideally providing her with space to work alone or with others when required.
the images talk about her alter ego while the tunnel into her "cave" allows her to transform into the persona she will wants to be on the other side.
the lift was designed to give her a public and showy entrance to the dining space
